Interesting how do you see this video for the first time a little late to the party I know. Why can't voters figure this out. You know how you stop these police from doing this very simple. Any settlements come out of their retirements or their paychecks or their budgets. If they want to hold you responsible for your actions then they get responsible. So once they start losing money out of their paychecks don't think all of a sudden they'll be looking at each other holding each other accountable want to start affecting their income.not the taxpayer. The idiocy of field sobriety tests are incredible. They are totally 100% subjective. The only reason you are asked to do one is that you are suspected of being under the influence. Purely subjective. The determination has already been made in advance. There is no measure. Whatever the officer says goes post test. The only objective test is breath analysis via a properly calibrated and maintained machine and/or via blood test. Why anyone would walk lines or follow pencils etc is beyond me….

Did you see that? They put a "no right turn on red" sign on a pole, near the sidewalk wheelchair ramp. The sign was not hanging from a cable next to the traffic light. This is an old, if unintentional, trick to get you to not see the sign. ALWAYS be on the lookout for this !

Today we have cell phone and surveillance camera videos to prove out innocence but in 2001 when I was falsely accused and arrested we didn't have them so I am forever damaged by the police as an innocent man who was simply defending myself.

Never do a field sobriety test. It's too easy to fail them even when sober because the results are entirely down to officer discretion. In many places absolute refusal to submit to a test is illegal though so if you are threatened with arrest offer to do a breath test. They give a clear cut undeniable answer, and should the police still then try to prosecute you you can do things like demand calibration records etc and make officers justify why they detained you after an undeniable negative test.

I was stopped by Chips--suspicion of DUI--while on business trip. I suspect my valid non-CA license saved me a fine. I had confirmed w CA DMV my Out-of-State license was acceptable for 2 months.

Understand what is wrong with this. You are required to prove your innocence by passing a field sobriety test in which your success or failure is based on the discretion of a low IQ cop. "Nothing else to go on." So no breathalyzer?

The police officer should sentenced to 10 years in prison with no parole. The innocent victim should be awarded $5 Million Dollars paid by all of the police officer departments, not the taxpayer !!!!!!
